2020 has been jam-packed with unexpected, unprecedented, and unfamiliar challenges. But, the one thing we can all agree upon is that we have rekindled the wisdom of your health is your wealth. For our health and the health of others, we have removed and/or greatly reduced activities that we did without thinking just nine months ago. I know, I took for granted and miss traveling for a special occasion or concert, getting together for happy hour with friends or colleagues, or going to a group spin or yoga class.
A Big Shift Coming
Although we are all missing some part of the previous normal, there will be an upside to this pandemic too. I’m not sure what the intellectuals will say. However, I feel a big shift coming AND not in just one area of our lives, but various: public health, environment, economy, travel, home life, school, and working remotely. Even if the up and coming change is positive, it may be stressful.
Sound Advice – Look Up
So my words of advice, as we deal with the rest of 2020 and start of 2021 with rollouts of these changes, Look Up:
- Be in the Moment
- Find the Upside
BTW, if you are spending a long weekend with your family or in-laws during this holiday season and/or you are trying to wrap your head around holiday shopping, this Look Up Mantra works well. (Hint: couple the mantra with a glass of egg nog, wine, or the libation of your choice.)
As always, here’s to looking up!
