One of my first family trips with my mother was to New York City. I remember it fondly with a Broadway Show, Cats, visits to all the major art museums, and of course a lot of great food. Although I have visited many times since over the course of my last four decades, I asked a friend and peer writer, Ernesto Giordano, to share his big three for the Big Apple.

Everyone knows about New York City. We’ve all seen the glitz and glamour that accompanies the city that never sleeps. The place just cannot switch off, and it’s a hotbed for tourists from all over the globe. There is no denying the NYC is a place that you’ll want to visit again and again.

So let’s say you’ve decided to hit the big apple, what are you going to do there. Well, there are hundreds of options depending on your personality, but let’s look at three absolute must-see places to check out during your stay.

The Statue Of Liberty

You probably knew this was coming. It’s an obvious one, but that doesn’t make it any less of an amazing idea. When you think of New York, you think of the statue. Just head on a boat over to Liberty Island have you’ll have a guided tour around the place. You might even be allowed inside.

Central Park

In amongst the furor of the buildings, the rush, the stress and the grey of the inner city, there’s a large and beautiful area of greenery. Central Park spans about three square kilometres and is a real contrast from the speed of the streets.

A Broadway Show!

You can’t go to New York City and not catch a live performance. You’d regret it if you miss out. Some of the greatest on-screen and stage actors of all time performance some of the greatest shows ever. You can use the infographic below to determine what would be best for you if you’d like.
