Joys of Being an Author

Earlier this week, I was once again reminded of why I'm an author. I opened my inbox to a thoughtful message and this photo. The reader in the picture is Luci from Salem, Oregon enjoying When All Balls Drop from her home. She said, "I want to thank you for your fine book. I shared some of your life changers in miniature fashion (divorce, major surgery) and enjoyed you revelations." To see her face in combination with her thankfulness made my day.

I'm an author because books provide a classroom without walls. When one writes a book, a blog post, or an article, you can touch individuals globally. I felt the need to share my powerful story and message to the world in hope of inspiring others. When I hear from readers at events or online about their takeaways, it reinforces my choice to be an author.

Let me hear about your takeaways from When All Balls Drop by leaving a review. It will take thousands of reviews to spread the inspirational message of #LookUp. If you would like to send a picture like Luci, you can send it here.

Plus, get ready for the release of the sequel, With New Eyes. I will be hosting a pre-release in my hometown, Trempealeau, Wi, in July with the global release in September. You can get a VIP pre-release excerpt of With New Eyes by signing up.

Here's to looking up!
