Simple Margarita Recipe

Simple_Margarita_Recipe

You've probably heard the Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, quote, "The cure for anything is saltwater: sweat, tears, and the sea." I wrote about another version of this cure in my first book When All Balls Drop.  This cure requires sun, beach, and margaritas with salt. I'll allow you to come up with the sun and beach yourselves, but I won't let you buy the pre-made margaritas or even mix. I must share with you the best simple margarita recipe that I learned from my father.

Simple Margarita Recipe

Ingredients:

  • Tequila
  • Triple Sec
  • Lime Juice
  • Ice
  • Salt

1) Mix together in a tumbler or pitcher two parts Tequila, one part Triple Sec, and one part lime juice.

2) Rub rim of a glass with lime juice and dust with salt.

3) Fill the glass to the brim with ice.

4) Pour mixture over ice and garnish with a lime wedge.

If you like a little something extra, try a tajín rim instead of salt. It'll give you a chili-lime kick. Olé!

I hope you enjoy this simple margarita recipe.

As always, here's to looking up!
