If you have been following me for awhile or just stumbled across this post, I wanted to share with you what I have been writing in the sand, including in each post, and sharing in my books. Look Up is a powerful statement and mantra that I adopted almost five years ago. These two wise words helped me through a traumatic accident, divorce, and career loss, but they also help me with life’s little things like traffic jams, customer service operators, and the TSA line at any airport.
Look Up has two major components:
1) Be aware of your surroundings, appreciating the beauty as well as hazards. In essence, be in the moment and mindful.
2) Spin each situation positively. Although many experiences may appear negative at first, there are no wasted experiences. They can be needed detours on your life’s path or the best thing to ever happen to you like the 1,000 pound tree limb that broke my neck in 2009.
I will share with you some beautiful beaches where I have left the inspiration message of Look Up.
Please send me your Look Up pictures whether in snow, dirt, sand, frosting, whipped cream, or other. (Man, I must be getting hungry.) Submit them via email, Facebook, or add them to other social media with #lookup.
Here’s to looking up!
