Adventure is My Meditation

“Adventure is my meditation.” – Heidi Siefkas from With New Eyes

I bet you are scratching your head or at least puzzled. Adventure and meditation don’t mix. It’s counterintuitive, right? However, let me explain my quote and belief.

Many feel that adventure is just for adrenaline junkies, but I beg to differ. Check out this definition of an adventure!

An adventure is an activity that is all-consuming, either physical, mental, emotional, or perhaps a little of all, requiring your complete focus. In most cases, it is also a bit frightening.  Doing it (whatever IT is) in spite of the fear, makes it an adventure.

Adventure examples you’ll see on my Instagram: writing two three books, climbing the Sydney Bridge, traveling to Cuba umpteen times, moving to Kauai, public speaking, learning how to stand-up paddleboard, and more.

Many have asked how I came to believe that, “Adventure is my meditation.” If you’re curious, read about it.

Now it’s your turn!

I challenge you to add adventure to your life. Make shift happen through adventure!

What’s your next adventure?

Comment below about your next adventure and I’ll share mine!

Here’s to looking up!
