Benefits of Adventure and Why You Need an Adventure List

Over my lifetime, I haven’t met a person that didn’t want to improve something about his/her life. In particular, most of us want to enhance our lives, whether that includes being healthier, wiser, and/or living a true Life 2.0, an updated version of yourself. This time of year, many make New Year’s Resolutions. I have. You have. Everyone has. However, a few years ago, I decided to change the way I set goals for myself in the coming year. I make an adventure list.

Why an adventure list?

Let me start by sharing how I define adventure. An adventure is any new activity that is all-consuming that puts you in the zone. It perhaps is fearful. Something that you must overcome. By using the word adventure, it puts our minds in the right space. Adventure is challenging, exciting, and energizing. That’s what change is all about, not just about resolving problems or things that are wrong. I threw out New Year’s Resolutions many years ago to add more adventure to my life because there are proven benefits to adventure. I encourage you to throw out the resolutions and embrace an adventure list too. Let’s me explain the benefits of adventure and the science of adventure via the video below.
