The Best of Look Up Mantra

Earlier this year, after my TEDx talk the moderator asked me, "What advice do you give others who are going through challenging times." Without hesitation, I explained the Look Up mantra. It's simple, yet powerful. Although we may not have much control over this thing called life, we do have the power to Look Up, which reminds us all, wherever we are, and whatever we are going through to:

  1. Be in the moment, appreciating the beauty around us as well as hazards
  2. Find the upside as all wounds, hurdles, and hiccups turn into wisdom

Heidi Siefkas Celebrating Look Up Anniversary in Iceland

This past September 27th marked the eighth anniversary of the life-changing accident that sparked the creation of Look Up. Although Look Up is a daily tool, I write a monthly reminder on this blog as we humans (and even me) forget that we have this power to Look Up. Check out the Best of Look Up posts, stories, and inspirational tidbits from 2017 below!

The simple, two words have helped me and countless of others to reframe situations big and small. Keep them in your back pocket. They are your best life tool. Here's to looking up!
  2. I just read the first of these (for me) and found it very encouraging. Sorry to read about your accident, but glad you have turned it around to something more positive. I look forward to these monthly posts.

Thank you Rhonda! The accident was the spark to a complete life change and evolution to a better, bolder version of myself, Life 2.0. Look Up was a tool I used to overcome my obstacles then as well as today.
