Five years ago, Siefkas was hit by a tree limb on Main St. in Poughkeepsie that left her with multiple fractures on her face and head and most severely, a broken neck.
“When All Balls Drop: The Upside of Losing Everything” is an inspirational memoir Siefkas wrote in the wake of losing her health, marriage, and career after her accident in September 2009.
“When that tree hit me, it sparked the moment that I call ‘what all balls drop’. It stems from the balancing act that most of us are doing in our life, juggling our well-being as well as our relationships, and our professional side. That fall, I lost all that was important to me,” Siefkas said.
