Celebrated every 27th of the month, I created Look Up Day in 2010 to remind us all of a powerful lesson I learned from a life-changing accident nearly five years ago. In order to honor this heightened perspective and knowledge, I share Look Up Day with you. It is a day to be aware of your surroundings and the moment. This means look up for falling tree limbs, coconuts, or brilliant rainbows and more. Additionally, it is a reminder to positively spin each situation or Look Up. You may not be able to change the situation, but you can change the way you think about it.
Although the accident only happened once on 9/27/09, I decided that with the daily grind, I needed more of a reminder to practice being aware and positively spinning each situation. That's why I decided to start a monthly celebration. It is a check-in for us all.
